Congratulations!

NephGen PIs Tobias Hermle and Peter Walentek  have been awarded Heisenberg Fellowships by the German Research Foundation (DFG).  The DFG will fund their positions within the projects  “Mechanisms of genetic glomerulopathies” and “Molecular mechanisms of cilia and mucociliary epithelia”, respectively,  from January  2024 for up to five years.

The program, named after the physicist Werner Heisenberg, enables outstanding researchers who meet all the requirements for appointment to a long-term professorship to prepare for a senior academic role while continuing their research work.
